Pietrasanta

In an effort to escape the craziness of the Comics and Games event, I took a day trip to nearby town named Pietrasanta. I found out about this town through a monthly newsletter called The Grapevine, a very useful tool for expats in Lucca. A 30 minute train ride from Lucca with 1 change got me to magical Pietrasanta. The town, like many Tuscan towns, surrounds a main Piazza. Four main streets branch off of the piazza lined with stores and restaurants.

While in Pietrasanta I met Luca Ferrari. These are images of his amazing store. I purchased a beautiful handcrafted leather embossed tray. Luca was a delight! This is his store...

Pietrasanta has many many art galleries. One in particular was my favorite, of course, it was the marble gallery! Unbelievable pieces created from Carrara Marble. Each one more beautiful than the next.
