Soooo... After my trip to Montelupo, I decided to try my hand at painting Italian Ceramics. As luck would have it, my upstairs neighbor Stefano has a shop in Lucca in which they also teach the painting. So I thought "why not". Boy was I in for a rude awakening! It was so hard, but with the help of my teacher Elisa, it was fun. I will not see the final results until the plates are fired, but here are a couple of pics of the experience. Oh and of course there was wine and focaccia! When I receive the final jewel, I will be sure to post it. In the meantime, here are Elisa and I hard at work Italian style
